Welcome new followers…

I haven’t had a new follower in a few months and then suddenly in the last few days I gained about five… so hello Ian fans *Waves*

This has been a great day what with the birth of John who is at this moment fast asleep and so is his beautiful mummy.

Q
Congratulations! Be prepared to lose some sleep.

Ah thank you very much anon.

Indeed I have prepared myself for sleepless nights but most of the time I’ll just wake up Barbara to check on him…

Just joking, it’s all worth it eh? And Barbara and I will be sharing the responsibility. :)

Baby Chesterton has arrived!!! It’s a boy!

I’ve just had cuddles with him and he’s so so small. He weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces and he’s got a little screwed up face like a prune. But he’s my boy and we couldn’t be happier. Barbara is exhausted but she’s bonding well with the little one.

We’ve named him John. John Alydon Ganatus Chesterton. I wasn’t exactly happy with those middle names but Barbara insisted.

Anyway, I’m at the hospital doing this.

also the llama is smoking a cigarette but I’m trying to ignore him.

That blasted llama keeps mocking me!

Panic stations!

Barbara has gone into labour. She seems to be keeping calm whilst I run around the house like a headless chicken. Where did I put the hospital bag?

*Starts hyperventilating*

Will keep you all updated on the arrival of baby Chesterton. It can be like the Daddy diaries.

This is a fun mental image I had after reading one of Unwilling Adventurer’s posts. This is also the first time I’ve drawn something that’s not a cartoon animal in well over two years. I forgot how frustrating hands can be! So have some Ian/Barbara fluff!
I should do this more often.

Q
If I've calculated correctly, baby is due in the coming week? Hurrah! Also, I think you're a darling in your striped shirt, Mr. Chesterton, rather like Lethbridge-Stewart in his pyjamas, and I had a nice laugh about your troublesome imaginary llama.

Ah this is nice, I haven’t had a message in a while.

Barbara is indeed due very soon and poor thing is getting rather moody with all this hot weather we’re having. I keep trying to reassure her that it won’t be long now but she’s convinced the little one will be late. I’ve been feeding her grapes whilst she lounges on the deck chair. She won’t let me have any grapes either :(

I’m really looking forward to the baby coming into the world (though I’ll be in the waiting room with all the other Dads and will be wishing her luck whilst smoking loads of cigarettes to calm my nerves, I wish I was there with her)

And thank you, I was rather fond of that stripy shirt, I think it suited me as well. Maybe I should get one. Ah the Brigadier, I only know him by reputation but he seems a good sort of man and our generation do like those striped pyjamas. I have a pair of the Brig’s pyjamas (my own pair, I don’t just borrow his, I might add)

Oh yes I’d forgotten about that Llama incident that I had imagined, once someone says something, I often begin picturing it in my head. I have an overactive imagination. But reading it back, I guess it was quite amusing but I am now rather scared of Llamas. “Go away Llama, I’m answering a message”. :)

Appreciation of Ian in his stripy shirt.

Haven’t posted on here in a while, hello everybody.

Only about seven weeks until baby Chesterton is due. Can’t believe it’s come around so fast. Feels like yesterday we announced it. Barbara is well, very big (don’t tell her I said that) and is very uncomfortable but still beautiful as always. I’m getting rather jittery now.

“The Doctor. He was old when I was young. Sometimes I still feel like he’s up there in his lunatic ship, righting wrongs, still specialising in trouble.  He dives in and usually finds a way out. He showed me so many things, so many.” -Ian’s introduction to the Crusade.

Companions never forget their time with the Doctor.

Q
I think my favorite of your outfits is when you're on Marinus - do you have any pictures of it?
A

Ah yes I’m very partial to that ensemble too and I never really wanted to take it off-until Barbara informed me I’d been wearing it for two months or something and was beginning to whiff. Anyway I do have a few pictures:

I hope these will suffice. I rather enjoyed wearing this outfit and actually I wish I could still wear it now, though it might turn a few heads. Sorry if the pics aren’t that clear, it’s the Doctor’s fault, when we found this old box full of mementos we found that the Doctor had given us all our stuff back and he left some photos for us but unfortunately in some of them you cannot see me so well due to other people in the way or me hugging Barbara. :D

I’ll never forget Ian’s beauty ever again, I promise!
